Halloween Styling

halloween

Hey Lovelies, I’m backkk!!! To gently get back into blogging after being away in the beautiful Tenerife (gathering all my photos for a post that will be on here soon) :) I thought I would indulge in a little wish list/style up post, there are quite a few picks today! I thought it would be wrong to let this dark and spooky time of year slip on by! HALLOWEEN! I haven’t got plans this year, like most years I’ll probably be in, wrapped up on the sofa watching a non scary film (I’m a scaredy cat) in my giraffe onesie. But that doesn’t mean I can’t drool over the gorgeous Halloween inspired pieces that are all about at the moment. Which by the way can easily be styled for Christmas/AW too :) Win win!

ASOS Little Mistress Navy Sweetheart Dress
I love the sweetheart neckline on this dress, also the navy colour is not something you would usually see on Halloween. Pair with some black accessories for a modern take on the Halloween night out outfit.

ASOS Pointed Bow Heels
Bows. Is there really much else to say about these shoes. Okay, so yes there is a bit more to say, how freaking cute are these. Taking a classic shoe and adding a simple black bow at the ankle! Genius!

ASOS Green Beaded Clutch
I really like this emerald-green beaded clutch, pair this with a simple all black outfit as a stand out piece.

TOPSHOP Sequin Panel Pleated Dress
Now, this Topshop dress has been on my wish list for ages, well, the wish list in my head that is! It’s stunning I love the different textures and lengths, this could be a possibility for a work Xmas meal outfit at this rate! I LOVE IT!

ASOS Halloween Embellished Choker Necklace
Talk about gothic chic. This is an extremely beautiful and intricate piece of jewellery, reminds me of the costumes in Underworld! Sophia Myles wore some stunning pieces.

TOPSHOP Webbed Tights
Something a little fun! I am always on the look out for quirky tights to wear to work to snazzy up the uniform, these web tights are perfect for Halloween!

TOPSHOP Red Plunge Jumpsuit
I don’t usually gravitate towards red, but this jumpsuit is so elegant and definitely means business, I’d layer this with a mess top underneath and some black high heels for a vampy evening look.

ASOS Halloween Gothic Rose and Lace Headband
This headband is AMAZING! Gothic vibes all around. This really is a ‘wish’ piece as I wouldn’t know where to start with styling it on myself! Definitely something to look into in the future.

TOPSHOP Halloween Scrunchie
Another fun item from Topshop, I love scrunchies and this Halloween themed one is too cute. Especially when you have to wear your hair up for work this is a nice and simple way to incorporate some of the Halloween spirit into your everyday look.

NEW LOOK Mesh Baroque Tee
This tee is fab for layering, using under a dress or jumpsuit or over a bright crop will revamp any piece of clothing in your wardrobe with a gothic twist.

NEW LOOK Black Lace Sleeve Crop
I LOVE this black lace sleeved crop, I can easily see Wednesday Addams wearing this. This would go really nice with a burgundy miniskirt and Docs.

NEW LOOK Pure Colour Burgundy Lipstick
I can’t wait to go into my local New Look and pick up some of their new beauty range. This deep burgundy red is perfect for A/W and for creating sultry vampy make up to complement a gothic look. It would also look great with very natural make up for a stamens pop of colour.

NEW LOOK Black Faux Fur Trim Heels
These fluffy heels are everywhere, I know lots of other places do them, but New Look are my fave high street store for shoes! They are adorable, with fluff adds a cuteness to them and ultra girly vibes. With pay-day looming they might be making a new home for themselves with me very soon.

I hope you like my Halloween inspired picks, if you like them they are all linked above :) Feels good to be blogging again, I am currently settling back into things. I know I was only gone for round about 2 weeks, but you can’t rush things when coming back otherwise it would feel like a waste of a really lovely holiday and time away. And I am in no rush to let go of the holiday vibes! :)

7Leather Jacket, Topshop | Faux Fur Collar Topshop | Joni Jeans, Topshop | Pastel Fluffy Crop, Primark | Clutch Bag, Religion from TKMaxx | Heels, New Look

Hey Lovelies, It’s officially the start of my holidays! Yay! This week has been a long one, and very busy! With the colder weather it means people want coffee… and lots of it! Hello ridiculous never-ending queues! But I’m putting that behind me as I’ve got packing and outfit organising to do this weekend! Today’s look however is sticking to the weather we have right now! Up and down and chilly. I have been wearing my faux fur collar from Topshop with nearly everything lately, it adds some really fun textures to an outfit and it’s just so comfy and soft. I am a lover of all black outfits, but I thought I’d throw on my cute pastel purple fluffy crop to add a softness to the look. I recently found this clutch that I found in TKMaxx, it truly was an amazing find, a knuckle duster on as the handle?! If that’s what it’s called. The skeleton is rocking a crown and it’s just all sorts of cool. My black skin-tight Joni jeans are my go to trousers at the moment, they are super high-waisted and I just bloomin’ love them! I found these heels from New Look hidden in my shoe chest, I have nice memories of these shoes as I wore them to my graduation! How very brave of me, as they are, now anyway really high! haha! I’m not used to wearing heels at all!

6Fluffy Jacket (cardigan), H&M | Grey Top, H&M | Ripped Jeans (DIY), Primark | Boots, Dr Martens | Bag, H&M | Pentagram Necklace, Treasure Box* | Spike Necklace, Topshop | Long Necklace, Forever 21

Hey Lovelies. See, I told you my wardrobe was having a colour wash out! Not saying all my outfits will be so black and grey but I’m definitely gonna be inserting some more muted tones into my outfits from now on. Moving on to today’s outfit. I really love this dishevelled grey tank, the material is so soft too. It creates great layers within the outfit, with the fluffy jacket over the top for even more textures and lengths. I always find I look just a little bit cooler in my ripped jeans, I do need to get a proper pair, and not just my poorly done DIY ones, but for now they kinda work and of course my Docs are back :) Yay! My A/W footwear staple! :)

Dress, H&M | Bag, H&M | Faux Leather Sleveless Jacket, Forever 21 | Socks, Primark | Boots, New Look | Jewellery all Topshop (of course)!

Hey lovelies, another outfit featuring some beaut H&M finds. Not sale finds, just my Mum and I walking around liking everything! Whoops! This dress is such a great A/W staple, because it has that really cool uneven cut. To wear with or without tights it can be styled up for whether is chilling or really cold! It has such a grunge vibe to it with its grainy washed out grey colouring. It has a thin ribbon tie at the waist to add some shape, but it also looks nice without it. Black + grey I find always go so well with gold accessories. I love this necklace from Topshop, I got it quite a while ago now but it’s just one of those pieces you need to be careful what you style it with as its such a statement. For when its a little colder this will look heat with a chunky black jumper or even a bright blue jumper but for now I paired it with my sleeveless faux leather Jacket from Forever 21. My old favourites make an appearance again, my New Look heeled boots, I really need to get a few other heeled boots to add to my collection, they do really go with everything.

Are you guys liking me posting outfits everyday? Don’t know whether it’s too much? I like it but thought I would ask you guys, so let me know in the comments below!

1. Padded Ankle Boots, £78 TOPSHOP
2. Black High Waisted Cigarette Trousers, £24.99 MISSGUIDED
3. Black Crepe Duster Coat, £29.99 NEW LOOK
4. Wooden Heel Gladiator Sandals, £7 (sale) NEW LOOK
5. Blue Floral Block Heel Sandal, £60 RIVER ISLAND
6. Blue Double Pocket Duster, £29.99 NEW LOOK
7. Onora Raglan Blue Crop, £9.99 MISSGUIDED
8. Blue Chelsea Boots, £40 TOPSHOP

Hey Lovelies, because the weather has been so up and down lately I haven’t been able to get any outfits shot! :( So that means I’ve been sat inside on my computer browsing my fave shops. What I did realise while I was having a good old browse was my colour choices. Lots of black and lots of blue. Oh dear, summer isn’t really over (though the weather may say something different) but I have found myself looking forward to the Autumn already. Cue duster coats and muted tones. I think if I have to get just one staple autumn piece it would be a duster coat. They just look so comfy and classic. The two I have picked from New Look are a really great purse friendly price, the pale blue is adorable and I love the addition of the oversized pockets. I seem to have discovered an obsession with anything quilted. The Topshop quilted trainers style boots are just so perfect. Although quite pricey they are still dreamy to look at and would be great for the colder months. I really favour trousers that are high wasted, and these simple black cigarette trousers are perfect, and a really great price too. I’ve only just started to dabble in purchasing from Missguided and wow! I’ve got the ‘I WANT TO BUY EVERYTHING’ bug!

For the part of me that is still in summer mode I have found 2 veer opposite end of the price range heeled sandals, one from New Look which is in the sale for only £7, chunky black sandals with a contrast wooden heel, will go with pretty much anything.  And at the other end of the scale, some monster blue floral heels from River Island, they are just so perfect.

Lets wish for more sun for just a little longer, but for now I am most definitely trying to style in a more transitional way. As today, in Norwich anyway it was super sunny one minute and then it tipped it down with rain! Thanks British weather for being so random at times.

Caffe Nero Style Challenge- Monochrome

style challenge

Hey Lovelies, it’s about time I shared with you what I’ve been up to with Caffe Nero! I’ve been challenged to style up their iconic tee. I was so excited when they contacted me (thanks again Michael!)
I’m quite used to styling up statement tee’s as I seem to own quite a few. I thought I’d split this style challenge into 2! Which means even more looks to show you guys. This first part is ‘Monochrome’.

LOOK 1

0All black! As the t-shirt is quite baggy, I decided to tie it at the side for a casual cropped look. I paired it with my Topshop high-waisted sheer skirt. The sheer panels are split into 4 and it has such a floaty boho feel. I added just a splash of colour with my denim Vans. I think it works really well with the bold white soles. This outfit would be perfect for going out shopping or lunch with a friend as its smart but not too smart with the boho vibe of the skirt!

LOOK 2

I’ve mentioned these SpyLoveBuy shoes quite a bit on my social media! I just ADORE them so much!!! I again kept the t-shirt tied into a crop, I added a statement block white body con skirt for a really polished look. And due to the weather being so blooming fab I threw on my sleeveless In Love With Fashion dogtooth jacket an amazing sale find from their section in my local Topshop. It’s really light and added another dimension to the look. I think out of the 3 monochrome outfits this is my favourite.

LOOK 3

0

You can’t go wrong with a pair of rolled up Mom Jeans, these are from Topshop! A very tomboy look, I layered a white strappy top under the Caffe Nero tee for a 90’s vibe. For even more of a casual vibe I wore my black sandals again from Topshop. Yep I buy ALOT of clothes from Topshop! The look I was going for was ‘effortlessly cool’! Not sure if I succeeded but I LOVE it, I’m all about being comfortable with my outfits and this is a very chilled out outfit that is so easy to create. Statement tee, denim + sandals! DONE!

I really hope you have liked these 3 monochrome looks that I have created with Caffe Nero! Sometimes all you need is a statement tee to bring a whole outfit together! I’m now gonna get working on part 2 which will be full of colour!

See ya,

DIY Ripped up Jeans « Style

Hey Lovelies,

I finally got around to cutting and ripping my black jeans!! Horrah! I posted my inspirations a while back, which can be found »here« and I finally put scissors to jeans and cut them up! These jeans cost me £7 from Primark, which for the purposes of a DIY is a great price to create something really unique and personal to you. I had fun creating these ripped/cut up jeans.

I knew that I wanted to have both knees exposed, I love the look of having one completely torn out and the other just being a cut. I put on my jeans and drew lines with a silver pen just so I knew where to make my cuts. I will be going back over them with a grater as they aren’t frayed enough for me. I also added a slit over my thigh to show a bit of my new tattoo!

I love how its turned out. I will be doing some full outfits with these in the future, but for now I thought I would show some different shoe options. Casual skaters for a day out shopping! Peep toe strappy heels for an evening out in a bar! And some studded boots for a gig!

How would you style your DIY ripped jeans?

See ya,

x Jenny
