Hey Lovelies, I’m backkk!!! To gently get back into blogging after being away in the beautiful Tenerife (gathering all my photos for a post that will be on here soon) :) I thought I would indulge in a little wish list/style up post, there are quite a few picks today! I thought it would be wrong to let this dark and spooky time of year slip on by! HALLOWEEN! I haven’t got plans this year, like most years I’ll probably be in, wrapped up on the sofa watching a non scary film (I’m a scaredy cat) in my giraffe onesie. But that doesn’t mean I can’t drool over the gorgeous Halloween inspired pieces that are all about at the moment. Which by the way can easily be styled for Christmas/AW too :) Win win!
ASOS Little Mistress Navy Sweetheart Dress
I love the sweetheart neckline on this dress, also the navy colour is not something you would usually see on Halloween. Pair with some black accessories for a modern take on the Halloween night out outfit.
ASOS Pointed Bow Heels
Bows. Is there really much else to say about these shoes. Okay, so yes there is a bit more to say, how freaking cute are these. Taking a classic shoe and adding a simple black bow at the ankle! Genius!
ASOS Green Beaded Clutch
I really like this emerald-green beaded clutch, pair this with a simple all black outfit as a stand out piece.
TOPSHOP Sequin Panel Pleated Dress
Now, this Topshop dress has been on my wish list for ages, well, the wish list in my head that is! It’s stunning I love the different textures and lengths, this could be a possibility for a work Xmas meal outfit at this rate! I LOVE IT!
ASOS Halloween Embellished Choker Necklace
Talk about gothic chic. This is an extremely beautiful and intricate piece of jewellery, reminds me of the costumes in Underworld! Sophia Myles wore some stunning pieces.
TOPSHOP Webbed Tights
Something a little fun! I am always on the look out for quirky tights to wear to work to snazzy up the uniform, these web tights are perfect for Halloween!
TOPSHOP Red Plunge Jumpsuit
I don’t usually gravitate towards red, but this jumpsuit is so elegant and definitely means business, I’d layer this with a mess top underneath and some black high heels for a vampy evening look.
ASOS Halloween Gothic Rose and Lace Headband
This headband is AMAZING! Gothic vibes all around. This really is a ‘wish’ piece as I wouldn’t know where to start with styling it on myself! Definitely something to look into in the future.
TOPSHOP Halloween Scrunchie
Another fun item from Topshop, I love scrunchies and this Halloween themed one is too cute. Especially when you have to wear your hair up for work this is a nice and simple way to incorporate some of the Halloween spirit into your everyday look.
NEW LOOK Mesh Baroque Tee
This tee is fab for layering, using under a dress or jumpsuit or over a bright crop will revamp any piece of clothing in your wardrobe with a gothic twist.
NEW LOOK Black Lace Sleeve Crop
I LOVE this black lace sleeved crop, I can easily see Wednesday Addams wearing this. This would go really nice with a burgundy miniskirt and Docs.
NEW LOOK Pure Colour Burgundy Lipstick
I can’t wait to go into my local New Look and pick up some of their new beauty range. This deep burgundy red is perfect for A/W and for creating sultry vampy make up to complement a gothic look. It would also look great with very natural make up for a stamens pop of colour.
NEW LOOK Black Faux Fur Trim Heels
These fluffy heels are everywhere, I know lots of other places do them, but New Look are my fave high street store for shoes! They are adorable, with fluff adds a cuteness to them and ultra girly vibes. With pay-day looming they might be making a new home for themselves with me very soon.
I hope you like my Halloween inspired picks, if you like them they are all linked above :) Feels good to be blogging again, I am currently settling back into things. I know I was only gone for round about 2 weeks, but you can’t rush things when coming back otherwise it would feel like a waste of a really lovely holiday and time away. And I am in no rush to let go of the holiday vibes! :)
Hey Lovelies, another day another fab New Look mini skirt. Very mod and very 60’s! I think mini skirts are going to be another A/W staple for me. They go with pretty much anything and can be worn with chunky knits and tights. I picked up this skirt a few weeks ago as at work we had to wear green for the Macmillan Coffee Morning and I wanted something that I could incorporate into my existing wardrobe, as green isn’t a colour you’d find lots of in there. I paired it with this cream high neck ribbed top and a statement necklace. I love this flower power clutch from Primark. To complete the look I wore my peplum textured jacket from Forever 21. I love the ruffles on the bottom of it. So cute and girly.
Hop everyones week has gone well. Look out for my next post which will be on Monday. Quite a bright outfit indeed!
Hey Lovelies, It’s officially the start of my holidays! Yay! This week has been a long one, and very busy! With the colder weather it means people want coffee… and lots of it! Hello ridiculous never-ending queues! But I’m putting that behind me as I’ve got packing and outfit organising to do this weekend! Today’s look however is sticking to the weather we have right now! Up and down and chilly. I have been wearing my faux fur collar from Topshop with nearly everything lately, it adds some really fun textures to an outfit and it’s just so comfy and soft. I am a lover of all black outfits, but I thought I’d throw on my cute pastel purple fluffy crop to add a softness to the look. I recently found this clutch that I found in TKMaxx, it truly was an amazing find, a knuckle duster on as the handle?! If that’s what it’s called. The skeleton is rocking a crown and it’s just all sorts of cool. My black skin-tight Joni jeans are my go to trousers at the moment, they are super high-waisted and I just bloomin’ love them! I found these heels from New Look hidden in my shoe chest, I have nice memories of these shoes as I wore them to my graduation! How very brave of me, as they are, now anyway really high! haha! I’m not used to wearing heels at all!
Hey Lovelies, I was kindly invited to the Topshop Norwich Student Event last Thursday. I felt like a faux student for the evening (oh how 3 years have gone by so quickly since I could call myself a student). The evening itself comes around once a year! There is an amazing 20% off all purchases. And to make it even more of an event Mantra a local club/bar were also there to provide a party atmosphere with some yummy mocktails and some ‘wicked tunes’ from a live DJ!
When I arrived I was able to have a one on one styling session with the mega babe Martha! This included being taken around the store to each themed section, like the Cocktail Hour, where you can find metallic playsuits, sequin crops and sleek faux fur sleeveless jackets and another which has to be my favourite the Folklore section, with feather print kimonos, floppy hats and palazzo trousers. While we visited each section Martha helped pick out an outfit for me! This to any girl is like a dream come true. Being given free rein in Topshop to style up your dream outfits. As the pile of clothes got heavier we then went to the styling room which is located just off the main changing rooms. I had my own changing room located in a larger room with funky bamboo wallpaper and a huge ceiling to floor mirror. After dumping the massive pile of clothes we strutted off to the shoes! THE SHOES!!! I LOVE Topshop shoes. They are a real treat for me. And did Martha pick some goodun’s. Yes she did. Then began over an hours worth of styling up these outfits and getting some fab snaps to show your guys. (I will be posting each outfit during the week otherwise this post would be very photo heavy). I had the most amazing time, there was no rush to get the outfits tried on, and Martha was very accommodating to my own style tastes when choosing the outfits. After this I had a venture around the store to get some snaps of the other things happening. I stumbled upon makeovers involving Topshop’s new range THE FACE. A gorgeous set of beauty products which are for a more natural look. I wasn’t able to blah any samples but I did get a booklet which details each product. Martha also told me that the people behind Mac Cosmetics have a hand in the making of them, so you know they are gonna be good.
I had the most amazing time, I was even allowed to use the 20% discount, which I thought was really sweet of them (thanks Kaiah) so I got a gorgeous pair of shoes :) They have already cropped up on my Instagram! Thanks again to Martha too for picking some fab outfits, and for picking the gorgeous shoes I ended up buying! I LOVE THEM! So if you live in Norwich and need some outfit inspo or just advise on maybe updating your wardrobe ask to have a style session with Martha or any of the other girls there, you will be so pleased with the time they take to find things that you may miss and end up falling for. Also if you are a student remember to keep a look our for future discount days (more than the 10% already) and for next years Student Event. You can follow Topshop Norwich on Instagram >here< for any amazing hidden gems they find and also like always you can follow me too for any finds that I make. As you guys know I do love a Topshop find be it full price or in the sale!
Hey Lovelies. See, I told you my wardrobe was having a colour wash out! Not saying all my outfits will be so black and grey but I’m definitely gonna be inserting some more muted tones into my outfits from now on. Moving on to today’s outfit. I really love this dishevelled grey tank, the material is so soft too. It creates great layers within the outfit, with the fluffy jacket over the top for even more textures and lengths. I always find I look just a little bit cooler in my ripped jeans, I do need to get a proper pair, and not just my poorly done DIY ones, but for now they kinda work and of course my Docs are back :) Yay! My A/W footwear staple! :)
Hey Lovelies, here are my top picks from some of the shows I managed to watch online from London Fashion Week. One day I’d love to go there in real life!! But with the wonders of the internet I could watch from the comfort of my bed in some slouchy clothes eating cornflake bites!
I have to say out of my picks my favourite show was the Whistles show. I am really loving monochrome and a muted colour palette at the moment. And I have to mention the bows for the Sister By Sibling how, how cute are they! I really love the prints, they are great nail art inspiration. Ashish are always ‘out there’ with there colours, fabrics, textures. Lots of bejewelled pieces for Spring Summer. Yay!
I also kept up to date with my fave fashion brands and bloggers on Instagram for the low down on street style looks too. I will be posting my fave looks tomorrow. For now though, what were your favourite shows from LFW?
Duster Coat, H&M | Sleeveless Cardigan, H&M | White Crop, River Island | Spotty High Waisted Trousers, River Island | Shoes, Schuh
Hey Lovelies, I have been searching for a duster coat for some time now, being on a budget all of the time I wanted to take my time and find something within my price range. Price range being not over £40, which I think is pretty reasonable for a good quality coat not saying I’ve never spent over that on a coat before. This gorgeous floaty blue duster is from H&M and was only £29.99, it is stunning, such a nice fabric too. Also something a little different to my pretty much all black coat/jacket collection. Seeing as Autumn is pretty much hear right now, layering is key, I layered this look with my black sleeveless cardigan over a simple white crop. These high-waisted trousers were a sale find from River Island a while ago now, they had lots of snazzy patterns in this style. This spotty one is quite retro and really cute.
To finish off the look some heels from Schuh, I have started to sort out my shoes from S/S to A/W, and I found these hidden in my shoe chest. (Yep and actual chest full of shoes).
I hope your week is going okay so far. It’s hump day after all! We are at the top of the hill, now its all quick going back down to the weekend :)
