Hey Lovelies, another day another fab New Look mini skirt. Very mod and very 60’s! I think mini skirts are going to be another A/W staple for me. They go with pretty much anything and can be worn with chunky knits and tights. I picked up this skirt a few weeks ago as at work we had to wear green for the Macmillan Coffee Morning and I wanted something that I could incorporate into my existing wardrobe, as green isn’t a colour you’d find lots of in there. I paired it with this cream high neck ribbed top and a statement necklace. I love this flower power clutch from Primark. To complete the look I wore my peplum textured jacket from Forever 21. I love the ruffles on the bottom of it. So cute and girly.
Hop everyones week has gone well. Look out for my next post which will be on Monday. Quite a bright outfit indeed!
Hey Lovelies, how are we all doing? I’ve just had a rather chilled 3 days off. But back to work now, so I thought I’d start the week off with a casual outfit. Something I would wear to be more practical. I know this turtle neck is only subtle but wow it just makes me feel all 60’s for some reason! It probably doesn’t look it but that’s how I feel. This top is great for either OTT jewellery or like I have done here a cute simple necklace. I love an initial jewellery. I am toning down my wardrobe for the A/W so this is the beginning of lots of muted outfits. I can’t wait! I went out and purchased loads of grey staples from H&M the other day, which I will be showing you throughout the week.
This duster coat is still oh so cool. I really love the floaty material. To complete this outfit I found my grey Primark jeans (comfiest jeans EVER) and my chunky Fenchurch sliders from Bank!
Have you de summer-fied you’re wardrobe yet? What are your A/W staples?
Hey Lovelies, I caved, I brought a blanket cape! And my goodness it was worth it. I used my lovely 20% off card that is in this months Elle Magazine and got this beaut of a cape. I’d posted about the cape trend for Love Clothing which you can find >here< and have been toying with the idea for a while now. Was a great impulse buy. I love this slightly tribal print and of course the snuggly faux fur collar.
I thought I’d keep the rest of the outfit simple so I kept it comfy with my jeggings from Topshop and my chunky cut out boots from Mr Shoes, which will be featuring lots more now that Autumn is upon us now. This cape is going to be the perfect winters day cover up.
So, its London Fashion Week starting from tomorrow, one day I will go! But for now I’ll catch up on the shows online and the fab street style via instagram! Are any of you going?
Duster Coat, H&M | Sleeveless Cardigan, H&M | White Crop, River Island | Spotty High Waisted Trousers, River Island | Shoes, Schuh
Hey Lovelies, I have been searching for a duster coat for some time now, being on a budget all of the time I wanted to take my time and find something within my price range. Price range being not over £40, which I think is pretty reasonable for a good quality coat not saying I’ve never spent over that on a coat before. This gorgeous floaty blue duster is from H&M and was only £29.99, it is stunning, such a nice fabric too. Also something a little different to my pretty much all black coat/jacket collection. Seeing as Autumn is pretty much hear right now, layering is key, I layered this look with my black sleeveless cardigan over a simple white crop. These high-waisted trousers were a sale find from River Island a while ago now, they had lots of snazzy patterns in this style. This spotty one is quite retro and really cute.
To finish off the look some heels from Schuh, I have started to sort out my shoes from S/S to A/W, and I found these hidden in my shoe chest. (Yep and actual chest full of shoes).
I hope your week is going okay so far. It’s hump day after all! We are at the top of the hill, now its all quick going back down to the weekend :)
Hey Lovelies, it’s the beginning of another week. Which means another 5 days or outfits :) today is all about ‘work wear’ or an outfit for a smart occasion. Seeing that I have to wear a uniform to work this is my ‘dream’ scenario for a work outfit. I saw these New Look leopard print/croc print boots online about a week ago, I fell for them straight away. Seeing that I was going into Norwich the next day I thought I’d have a look for them in store. I had no luck and was told that were only available online for the moment. I couldn’t wait for them to trickle through to the Norwich stores, so a couple of days later I ordered them online. They really are such a great find. I love the quirky mix of textures with the leopard print and the croc print. I added some frilly socks to make them stand out even more.
Never wanting to play it too safe I thought my faux leather skirt would modernise work wear a bit. With a block colour wrap style top from River Island and a smart jacket, I’d be good to go. Again my trusty fedora is out to play. I have seen a beautiful tan one in River Island that I may purchase soon!
I’m now off to watch the last EVER True Blood! To think I’ve been watching it for 6 years now! So yeah, goodbye Sookie and Bon Temps! I’d love to know what you think of this outfit too, would you wear something like this to work or a smart occasion?
Hey Lovelies, it’s finally the weekend, a 3 day weekend!!! Even better! Another fave combination at the moment, this beaut pink boxy top from Missguided and my trusty ankle grazing blue splodge trousers from H&M. I love how it’s girly with the pinks and floaty-ness of the top but toned down with the fitted trousers. How can I not mention my pink jelly shoes from New Look. They have been a summer staple for me. Adding some much-needed pink to many outfits. For some reason I think this outfit is slightly 90’s, but I have no idea why, maybe its my choice in hairstyle. Or I’m just imagining it! ha!
I can’t believe how long my hair is, true the fact that its half up half down does make it appear fuller, but still, it’s almost at bra strap level! So, yeah moving on from talking about my hair. I haven’t really got much planned for the weekend, will hopefully be getting next weeks outfits styled and shot, but if it keeps raining I may have to either rock an umbrella or do some flat outfits instead. I’ve just painted my nails too, so I will be getting some nail art stuff written up soon too. :)
I hope you like this outfit, I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below. It’s cheesy, but it really is so great to hear what you guys think :)
Top, Primark | Skort, River Island | Jellies, Linzi Shoes | Necklace, Topshop | Rings, Topshop
Hey Lovelies, I just love this combination! This boxy long crop from Primark is one of those fab purchases you make every so often. I got it a while back and I wear it so much!! This skort was also one of those random purchases of mine. Yep I’m a creature of habit, I’d been looking for a skort for ages, then while I was in Cambridge a while back the first thing I saw was this skort! That was it, i shot over to it, found my size and got it. There’s just something so nice about wearing them, the fact that they are quite short and there is no worry of any exposed knickers is a great thing.
I’ve got a lot of love for my black jelly shoes from Linzi shoes! The perfect shoe for all types of weather I’d say. They are so versatile, you can wear them like I have hear with just bare feet, also with some cute ankle socks and for when it gets chillier some tights. They also remind me of being a child and having jelly shoes.
Tomorrow (Friday) is my works 3rd Birthday! So we get to wear non uniform, yep just like back in high school with good old non uniform days!! I have no clue what to wear! That’s my evening of outfit planning sorted then
