Halloween Styling

Hey Lovelies, I’m backkk!!! To gently get back into blogging after being away in the beautiful Tenerife (gathering all my photos for a post that will be on here soon) :) I thought I would indulge in a little wish list/style up post, there are quite a few picks today! I thought it would be wrong to let this dark and spooky time of year slip on by! HALLOWEEN! I haven’t got plans this year, like most years I’ll probably be in, wrapped up on the sofa watching a non scary film (I’m a scaredy cat) in my giraffe onesie. But that doesn’t mean I can’t drool over the gorgeous Halloween inspired pieces that are all about at the moment. Which by the way can easily be styled for Christmas/AW too :) Win win!

ASOS Little Mistress Navy Sweetheart Dress
I love the sweetheart neckline on this dress, also the navy colour is not something you would usually see on Halloween. Pair with some black accessories for a modern take on the Halloween night out outfit.

ASOS Pointed Bow Heels
Bows. Is there really much else to say about these shoes. Okay, so yes there is a bit more to say, how freaking cute are these. Taking a classic shoe and adding a simple black bow at the ankle! Genius!

ASOS Green Beaded Clutch
I really like this emerald-green beaded clutch, pair this with a simple all black outfit as a stand out piece.

TOPSHOP Sequin Panel Pleated Dress
Now, this Topshop dress has been on my wish list for ages, well, the wish list in my head that is! It’s stunning I love the different textures and lengths, this could be a possibility for a work Xmas meal outfit at this rate! I LOVE IT!

ASOS Halloween Embellished Choker Necklace
Talk about gothic chic. This is an extremely beautiful and intricate piece of jewellery, reminds me of the costumes in Underworld! Sophia Myles wore some stunning pieces.

TOPSHOP Webbed Tights
Something a little fun! I am always on the look out for quirky tights to wear to work to snazzy up the uniform, these web tights are perfect for Halloween!

TOPSHOP Red Plunge Jumpsuit
I don’t usually gravitate towards red, but this jumpsuit is so elegant and definitely means business, I’d layer this with a mess top underneath and some black high heels for a vampy evening look.

ASOS Halloween Gothic Rose and Lace Headband
This headband is AMAZING! Gothic vibes all around. This really is a ‘wish’ piece as I wouldn’t know where to start with styling it on myself! Definitely something to look into in the future.

TOPSHOP Halloween Scrunchie
Another fun item from Topshop, I love scrunchies and this Halloween themed one is too cute. Especially when you have to wear your hair up for work this is a nice and simple way to incorporate some of the Halloween spirit into your everyday look.

NEW LOOK Mesh Baroque Tee
This tee is fab for layering, using under a dress or jumpsuit or over a bright crop will revamp any piece of clothing in your wardrobe with a gothic twist.

NEW LOOK Black Lace Sleeve Crop
I LOVE this black lace sleeved crop, I can easily see Wednesday Addams wearing this. This would go really nice with a burgundy miniskirt and Docs.

NEW LOOK Pure Colour Burgundy Lipstick
I can’t wait to go into my local New Look and pick up some of their new beauty range. This deep burgundy red is perfect for A/W and for creating sultry vampy make up to complement a gothic look. It would also look great with very natural make up for a stamens pop of colour.

NEW LOOK Black Faux Fur Trim Heels
These fluffy heels are everywhere, I know lots of other places do them, but New Look are my fave high street store for shoes! They are adorable, with fluff adds a cuteness to them and ultra girly vibes. With pay-day looming they might be making a new home for themselves with me very soon.

I hope you like my Halloween inspired picks, if you like them they are all linked above :) Feels good to be blogging again, I am currently settling back into things. I know I was only gone for round about 2 weeks, but you can’t rush things when coming back otherwise it would feel like a waste of a really lovely holiday and time away. And I am in no rush to let go of the holiday vibes! :)

What I Love Right Now

Hey Lovelies, if my wardrobe could resemble my wish list posts I would be one very happy Jenny! But for now they only exist in my pretty collage. I am very slowly trying to transform my wardrobe into something more monochrome with some pastel hints. So far, it hasn’t really happened. I am in need of a wardrobe makeover, as whenever I look in it, I don’t see the clothes of a 24/25 year old.  Yes, I do love all my clothes, but that doesn’t mean that some changes need to me made!

Right, ramble over! Here are a very cute selection of things I am loving at the moment. My fave thing has got to be the Missguided Croc Boots. Perfect autumn boots with a gorgeous croc style finish. Just adds something a little extra to the cut out boot. Another fave is the layered jumper from River Island, with the weather still joking around, layering will become everyone’s best friend. And for someone like me who has no figure at all, layering can just add frumpiness to a look, but this faux layered jumper is perfect. All the warmth just not too much bulk :)

7. Onora Raglan Blue Crop, £9.99 MISSGUIDED
8. Blue Chelsea Boots, £40 TOPSHOP

Hey Lovelies, because the weather has been so up and down lately I haven’t been able to get any outfits shot! :( So that means I’ve been sat inside on my computer browsing my fave shops. What I did realise while I was having a good old browse was my colour choices. Lots of black and lots of blue. Oh dear, summer isn’t really over (though the weather may say something different) but I have found myself looking forward to the Autumn already. Cue duster coats and muted tones. I think if I have to get just one staple autumn piece it would be a duster coat. They just look so comfy and classic. The two I have picked from New Look are a really great purse friendly price, the pale blue is adorable and I love the addition of the oversized pockets. I seem to have discovered an obsession with anything quilted. The Topshop quilted trainers style boots are just so perfect. Although quite pricey they are still dreamy to look at and would be great for the colder months. I really favour trousers that are high wasted, and these simple black cigarette trousers are perfect, and a really great price too. I’ve only just started to dabble in purchasing from Missguided and wow! I’ve got the ‘I WANT TO BUY EVERYTHING’ bug!

For the part of me that is still in summer mode I have found 2 veer opposite end of the price range heeled sandals, one from New Look which is in the sale for only £7, chunky black sandals with a contrast wooden heel, will go with pretty much anything.  And at the other end of the scale, some monster blue floral heels from River Island, they are just so perfect.

Lets wish for more sun for just a little longer, but for now I am most definitely trying to style in a more transitional way. As today, in Norwich anyway it was super sunny one minute and then it tipped it down with rain! Thanks British weather for being so random at times.

Hey Lovelies, it’s about time I start buying some extra bits for my holiday in October, as soon enough all the gorgeous summer gear will no longer be in shops!! First up is playsuits, I don’t have any at all! This needs to change! As I love them so much! Of course this is also for summer in general, but my main goal is to have clothes for October! We are going for a week so I don’t need to get too much stuff. Just some casual going for breakfast clothes, some much needed bikini’s as mine are all a bit drab now, and some nice clothes for the evening. That’s where the playsuit comes in! Paired with a classic minimal sandal or chunky white flatforms they will be perfect for going to dinner and having a drink in the evening.

I adore the floral wrap dress from New Look, perfect for something a little more special, as I will be celebrating my birthday while on holiday this year!! So this is a definite possibility. Another favourite is the petrol blue playsuit from Topshop, paired with some gold accessories and some black heeled sandals will be a really nice outfit.

What key pieces have you got for your holiday/summer wardrobe? Does the playsuit tick all the boxes for smart and casual summer dressing? Let me know as I always love hearing for you guys.

See ya,

x Jenny

Must Haves and Maybes « Wishlist

wishlist summer

Hey lovelies,

Thought I’d share some must haves and maybes with you today. In the next month or so I’ve got a few extra bits to budget for, 1 being going to London to see Katy Perry! Eeeek! Which will mean getting some kind of tour tee and then we are also going to Westfield! The other being I am getting a new tattoo in June so I need to continue putting away some money for that! I’m really trying to be good and just pick some key pieces as I do have so many clothes and shoes and bags as it is! But of course you need to top up that pending summer wardrobe!

So here is my small collection of items that have caught my eye. Of course I won’t get them all but just there for inspiration too!

1. Gingham Skaters, £20 TOPSHOP
GINGHAM GINGHAM GINGHAM Not much else to say really! The really cute pattern is back and no longer looks like a milk maid type of thing! These skaters are perfect to throw on with jeans or a pretty skirt! I’d say an everyday shoe, getting you from A to B in comfort and style.

2. Double Buckle Flatform Sandals, £48 TOPSHOP
I’ve tried these beauties on in my local Topshop and they are so freakin comfy, kinda like a Birkenstock but with an awesome flatform! These are gonna be on my shopping hit list come pay day. Perfect for on holiday and to be honest I really want some white chunky sandals, and these look quite practical don’t they?!

3. Pool Sliders, £22 TOPSHOP
These just scream buy me! At £22 I’m really tempted, knowing my luck my Topshop won’t have any left in my size but fingers crossed they do so I can at least try them on and decide. Simple yet still sleek and stylish a summer take on the sport luxe trend? I think so, these would look great with some frayed shorts and a band tee or with a crop, midi skirt and cute white socks for a girly touch.

4.  Holographic Pink Flatforms, £40 RIVER ISLAND
I think these flatworms are just gonna be a ‘I love you forever’ kinda shoe. I have featured them many times before in other wish lists, but now I keep talking myself out of buying them purely because apart from one outfit I have styled them with they won’t really go with anything else! Oh well! They are so pretty to look at though.

5. Tropical Print Cami, £17.99 NEW LOOK
Tropical is quite obviously IN this summer season! This floaty cami would be perfect with a body con skirt or even some high waited shorts, its super girly too! This is a definite maybe at the moment.

6. Tropical Print Crop, £9.99 NEW LOOK
Another tropical print which I adore. This tank top style crop is a longer crop which I prefer on me as I don’t like showing too much tim and with anything high waited this would look fab. And at £9.99 its a steal!

7. Geometric Print Bustier Bikini Top £16 + Matching bottoms £12 RIVER ISLAND
Always on the look out for new bikini’s, I normally raid Primark for a bargain but I need to branch out and have a look around. This gorgeous geometric bikini from River Island is just so…perfect! I am really loving high-waisted things at the moment, so these are great they tend to portray a more womanly figure so for me and what I call boyish figure its a thumbs up!

8. Blue Floral High Waisted Trousers, £32 RIVER ISLAND
I have these trousers in a red pattern and blue and with white polka dots, they are so flattering and this formal bright blue print will be great for the summer with some black sandals and a black crop.

9. Konad Stamping Set, £5 KONAD.CO.UK
I’ve been watching some nail art tutorials lately by Janelle from Elleandish, and she uses lots of really funky nail stamps to create her designs, I do love freehand painting on patterns and designs but thought that nail stamps sounds like a pretty good investment for quick and easy nail art! This is the stamping set that she uses and for £5 its a bargain.

10. Stamping Plates (Fairytale 06, Sci-fi 05) both £4.99 MOYOU LONDON
After having a look for the stamping kit itself I googled nail stamping plates UK and after searching around found MoYou London, these 2 plates look like 2 that I would get a lot of use out of. The mermaid looks super cute and that sci-fi one is so intricate I wouldn’t be able to create any of those designs freehand! And for £4.99 each they seem a pretty reasonable price for the amount of stamps you get on them.

I hope you like my picks of must haves and maybes, have any of these items now snuck onto your wish list? Do let me know in the comments below!

See ya,

x Jenny

Oh the Pretty Things « Wishlist

WISHLIST 1Blonde + Blonde Clear Backpack via BANKfashion £25 | Green Heart Earring £2, Pastel Heart Necklace £15 both River Island |

Check Blazer £40, Oversized Jacket, £35 both River Island | Bright Pink Holographic Flatforms £40 River Island

I’m seriously having a River Island moment this week! Oh my god! haha! I’ve selected some of my top picks for this week from some staple jackets to ease you into Spring and some gorgeous neck candy thrown in there too.

Firstly lets start with the clear backpack, I’ve seen this in real life in Bank and its a dream! I’ve always loved the clear bag trend but I’ve always worried myself that people are gonna automatically mug me in the street when seeing the contents of my bag! Or to be honest look at me in horror at how messy my bag is! This is a fab compromise, this backpack comes with a snazzy black and white pouch where you can put all your bits and pieces while still strutting down the high street with a really cool clear bag! Win win I’d say!

Still harping on about them pastels, the 2 jewellery items fill that void. First those gorgeous pastel green earrings, for £2 why won’t you want these in your collection. The necklace is another item that I have held in my hands, its soooo PRETTY!! Wear under a collar so only the jewels can be seen or with an oversized tee and jeans, it is a statement necklace that packs a gentle punch.

The transition from Winter to Spring is a tricky one, one day its freezing the next sunshine and a light breeze, do you wear a coat or take a jacket with you just in case. For me anyway this is something that bugs me. It’s now becoming nice enough not to need a really thick coat anymore which is why I have chosen 2 oversized/boyfriend jackets, I love the look of an oversized jacket with some skinny jeans and docs. Creates the perfect casual look.

How could I not put those flatforms on my TOP PICKS list! They do in fact come in a variety of colours, if you would prefer to play it safe they do come in white and black, but with shoes like these I’d say go on be a little adventurous, think about summer time and what tropical inspired outfits can be made with these as the base.

As always you can see lots of snippets of my everyday life and fashion finds on my Instagram which is linked below and if you wanna say hi then send me a tweet :)
